MYCULTURE and partners to launch the Young Entrepreneurs Resilience Fund

On October 29,2020, the Ministry of Youth and Culture (MYCULTURE), the United Nations Development Programme, the Korea International Cooperation Agency and other partners will launch the Young Entrepreneurs Resilience Fund that aims at helping them to recover from COVID-19 consequences and play their role in its prevention.

The virtual event will be aired live on Radio Rwanda and Rwanda Television from 11:00 to 01:00 PM with a panel of young entrepreneurs and officials from the ministry and partners.

The rapid survey conducted by MYCULTURE to assess the level of negative effects of COVID-19 on youth led businesses has demonstrated that the majority of them experienced a decrease of their working capital, which will certainly touch their productivity and hinder the expected growth.

The 500 million Rwandan Francs fund, put in place as a solution, will mainly support youth innovations created as a response to COVID-19 and existing youth enterprises affected.

Eligibility criteria includes but not limited to being Rwandan youth living in Rwanda aged between 16 and 30.
